Founded in 2020, Peebles Pottery is run by Gabrielle, a maker based in the heart of the Scottish Borders.

After graduating with first-class honours in Artist: Designer Maker from Cardiff Metropolitan University in 2020, she opened her studio that same June, turning her passion for pottery into a space where others could discover the craft too.

Since then, she has had the joy of teaching hundreds of students the art of wheel throwing and hand building. The studio has become more than just a place to work—it's a creative hub where weekly classes run alongside a community of studio members, all sharing the space and bringing their own energy to it.

Gabrielle's work focuses on functional and decorative stoneware pieces, thrown on the wheel and fired in a gas kiln. She's drawn to the principles of Japanese pottery of finding beauty in imperfection, in the marks left by the making process.

These pieces are available in the studio shop, alongside the welcoming atmosphere of makers at work.

Whether visitors are here to learn, to make, or simply to browse, the studio offers a warm corner of Peebles where clay, community, and creativity come together.
